ASTI/CUNEO- L'UNESCO RISPONDE

 

Cari amici,

pubblico la risposta dell'UNESCO alla lettera che abbiamo inviato loro con le firme congiunte mia e e della presidente nazionale. Traduco per chi non conosce l'inglese: ci garantiscono di avere preso atto delle nostre preoccupazioni circa l'autostrada e citano il paragrafo 174 della Convenzione del Patrimonio Unesco. Hanno trasmesso al Governo Italiano. Ringraziano poi Italia Nostra per gli sforzi (è proprio il caso di usare questo termine!!!) che fa per la conservazione del patrimonio culturale e paesaggistico.

UNESCO’s World Heritage Centre acknowledges with thanks your message of 7 and 28 April last, transmitting information concerning the ongoing development of the highway Asti-Cuneo in the setting of World Heritage properties.

Please rest assured that UNESCO has taken due note of the concerns of your organisation related to this project and in compliance with Paragraph 174 of the Operational Guidelines for the Implementation of the World Heritage Convention, the information provided has been transmitted to the relevant Italian authorities for their review and comments.

We appreciate that you have reached out to UNESCO and would like to thank Italia Nostra for its effort towards the conservation of the tangible and intangible heritage in Italy.
